NON ASBESTOS BASED RAILWAY COMPOSITE BRAKE BLOCKS:
Non Asbestos Composition Railway Brake Block is a rigid molded Product having short filaments of Synthetic Man made Mineral Fiber and organic Fibers with highly thermally stable Phenolic Powder Resin as a binder and fused in a matrix which contributes to the strength and performance in the terms of Friction / wear properties suitable for use in Diesel / Diesel-Electric / Hydrostatic Shunting / Main Line Locomotives, Freight & Rolling Stock . This product meets the requirement of U.I.C. Specification Dynamometer and in compliance with the European Conformance CE Mark mark.

Avoid the following
Mix up of ‘K’ blocks and ‘L’ block.
Hammering the CBB on clamp or backplate.
Using improper brake heads ie., if the lugs of CBB do not seat in the grooves-discard.
Dropping blocks roughly while handling.
Removing blocks with minor cracks from service.
Storing the blocks on radius side.
Taper wearing of blocks along the arc.
Lug portion coming down from the head.
