The required dimension and tolerance limit (diameter & length).
Full name of the Nation or international standard to which the spring steel round confirm. The grade of material has defined in the
relevant national or international standard. All the bar after peeling and center less grinding shall be subjected to magnaflux for
cracks detection. Defective bar shall be scrapped.

The supply their test report along with material.

Specification Plan for powder coating
•
Type of powder, i.e. Epoxy polyester etc.

Adhesion test, drop test and salt spray

Test as mutually agreed.
INSPECTION PLAN FOR SPRING STEEL ROUND
For each heat of raw material test certificate, covering all specified parameter are submitted by the supplier which are cross checked.
Each heat received is tested for following:

Chemical Analysis
•
Hardness
•
Macro Examination
•
Metallurgical Inspection
•
Inclusion Rating
•
Crack detection after center grinding.
•
Grain size
100% rod as subjected to magnaflux testing for detection of cracks, further process is carried out only on defective pieces.

Each bach is checked for consistency for following properties:

Coating thickness
•
Drop text
•
Adhesion test
•
Salt spray test if specially called for
